AnnotationProduction of ROS, as an important tool for oxidative killing of invading pathogens during phagocytosis. In this study Amplex red reagent, an ultrasensitive method for detection the production of H2O2, is used to provide evidence of H2O2 production by the haemocytes of Galleria mellonella larvae. The results show that the haemocytes of G. mellonella produced a low level of ROS.
