Only knowledge from more affected countries generate complex image about their significance and impacts. It is related also to two catastrophic floods which occurred in the Central Europe in 1890: in September and then again in November. Both floods affected more Central European countries at once and thus were cross-border floods. Whereas events in September 1890 were documented in details already in the past, the catastrophic flood in November 1890 is today in the Czech Republic practically without the attention of specialists. Therefore is in focus of our brief reminder. Workplace Institute of Geonics Contact Lucie Gurková, lucie.gurkova@ugn.cas.cz, Tel.: 596 979 354 Year of Publishing 2012
