Annotation	Architekti se během okupace věnovali teoretické práci a bilancování dosavadního vývoje moderní architektury, období 1939-1945 tvoří zásadní předěl. Postupně byly omezovány jejich publikační možnosti na jediný časopis Architektura. Jednou z nejvýznamnějších akcí se stala výstava "Za novou architekturu" uspořádaná v roce 1940. Architekti připravovali nové státem garantované sociální zaměření architektury a změny v socialistickém duchu.
Description in English	We usually read about theatre, cinema, literature and art in essays about the cultural life during the protectorate. Architecture is not mentioned, though the years 1939-1945 represent an important division, which in the times of forced idleness was postulated by architects themselves. They tried to summarize the development of modern architecture during the preceding 40 years with its achievements and failures, and they organized the exhibition "For the New Architecture" in 1940.
