Description in English The paper discusses psychology as a subject of philosophy of science. In particular we examine whether psychological schools of thought evolved in a continual, cumulative, or revolutionary way, whether the communication among them is possible, and if we can expect emergence of some dominant psychological movement. For this purpose we derive benefit from concepts of T. S. Kuhn and from rich scholarly discussion that took place up to now, stressing the contributions of K. Popper, P. Feyerabend and others. Applying both the historical and contemporary perspectives of the scientific subject we conclude that the biggest explanatory potential offers Lakatos’ (1970, 1978) or Laudan’s (1977, 1981) philosophy of science models integrating the original extreme positions.
