Jde o kritickou edici primární a sekundární dokumentace pramenů spojených s rozsáhlým pohřebním areálem, který byl dlouhodobě využíván během různých vývojových fází raného a vrcholného středověku a v novověku. Pohřebiště je výjimečné skutečností, že jeho funkce nebyla kontinuální, ale že do jeho prostoru nebo jeho částí se opakovaně vracely sídelní aktivity. V současnosti tyto prameny představují jeden ze základních pilířů pražské archeologie i přes omezenou a zejména rozrůzněnou schopnost výpovědi, značně poznamenanou časem, který uplynul mezi ukončením terénních prací a jejich současnou prezentací. Description in English Vol. II was published as the first of two volume publication of one of the oldest surface interventions in the complex stratigraphic environment of the Bohemian pre-urban and urban organism. It is the critical edition of primary and secondary documentation of sources relating to the extensive burial grounds that were used over a long period of time in various phases of the development of the Early and High Middle Ages and the Early Modern period. The grounds are unique in the fact that their function was not continuous and that settlement activity returned repeatedly to at least part of the area. To this day these sources are regarded as one of the basic pillars of Prague archaeology, despite a limited and varied testimonial value resulting from the amount of time that has passed between the completion of the field work and their current presentation.
