Kritická místa můžeme spatřovat jednak v samotném podzemí, ale i na povrchu v podobě povrchových útvarů po ukončení báňské činnosti. Po celou řadu let, kdy komplex důlních děl Důl Jeroným byl nepřístupný, docházelo k devastaci důlních prostor a to jak z důvodů zvýšení dopravy na silnici č. II/210, neudržováním dřevěné výztuže, díky níž docházelo k jejímu zborcení a následně závalům, tak i samotnými závaly, což v důsledku znamenalo omezení větrání a odtok vody z podzemí. Nejen tyto faktory, ale i další přispěly ke vzniku nových, př. rozvoji stávajících kritických míst, o kterých pojednává tento článek. Description in English The goal of the contribution is to define and describe critical places, because due to many factors, the rock mass is disturbed, and this is the case of a mine where there are several places with potentially reduced stability. The critical places can be met both underground and on the surface in a form of surface features after the cessation of mining activity. After many years, the complex of mining workings of Jerome Mine was unavailable, there was devastation of mining areas, both for reasons of increased traffic on highway No. II/210, unkeeping of wooden supports, which occurred due to its collapse and then pile up, and cave-ins themselves, which resulted in a reduction of ventilation and drainage of water from underground. Not only these factors but also further contributed to the emergence of new and existing development of critical places, referred to in this article.
