Annotation	Monografie analyzuje kontextuální předpoklady, povahu a význam vztahů mezi utvářející se českou a vídeňskou literární modernou na sklonku devatenáctého století. Zaměřuje se především na rakouského spisovatele a kritika Hermanna Bahra a českého básníka J. S. Machara, důležité iniciátory literárního prostředkování. Interpretace Bahrovy tvorby a jeho estetických stanovisek utvářených mezi Berlínem, Paříží a Vídní stejně jako faset Macharovy vídeňské zkušenosti ukazují na nesamozřejmou povahu jejich setkání a spolupráce na stránkách vídeňského týdeníku Die Zeit (1894-1904).
Description in English	The book analyses the contextual circumstances of the relations between the Czech and Viennese literary modernism. It focuses firstly on the Austrian writer and critique Hermann Bahr and Czech poet J. S. Machar who were important intermediaries. An exposition of Bahr’s work and his aesthetic opinions formed in Berlin, Paris and Vienna, as well as facets of Machar’s Viennese experience, indicates the non-obvious nature of their meetings and cooperation in the Viennese review Die Zeit (1894-1904).
