AnnotationChange in the environmental management of introduced species as suggested by Davis et al. paper is a flawed suggestion. Current approach is justified because (i) most conservation biologists and ecologists do not oppose non-native species per se, and (ii) invasion biologists and managers do not ignore the benefits of introduced species. However, the severe impact of non-native species should not be downplayed just because it may not manifest until decades after their introduction.
