AnnotationThe analytical expressions for description of travelling waves in rotating blade wheels are presented in the contribution. Based on the affinity of excitation forces to the travelling waves, the expressions served for design of the optimal distribution and time dependences of the multipoint electromagnetic excitation. Both axissymmetric case of the wheel characterized by multiple eigenvalues and the wheel with imperfection causing the split of this multiplicity were considered. Demonstration of travelling wave awakening is shown on the simple numerical example. The theoretical findings are verified experimentally on the case of free supported ring in non-rotating state and test blade disc under rotation, too.
