Description in English The aim of the work is to report on the results of rescue excavations that took place along Kolín's by-pass road between 2008 and 2009. Several dozens of prehistoric and early medieval settlements and burial sites were examined in advance; these demonstrate evidence of the almost continuous utilisation of this landscape. The most striking result is the capturing of four Neolithic rondels. The processing work will require many years, but already now it can be said that in some periods, particularly the Neolithic and Eneolithic and in the Iron Age, the said territory played a central role with the steady utilisation of some locations.
