AnnotationThis paper is focused on the interaction response of a two-hinged arch bridge carrying multiple moving oscillators. The arch bridge is modeled as a parabolic arch with constant sectional properties along the horizontal axis of span, and the multiple oscillators moving over it as a sequence of identical spring mass units with constant intervals. To investigate such a dynamic problem, a vehicle-bridge model is employed to investigate the interaction dynamics of the arch-beam and the moving oscillator units. Meanwhile, an incremental-iterative procedure is presented for the dynamic analysis of vehicle-bridge system. Considering various aspect ratios of the rise to span for arch-beams, the interaction response of the running oscillators over the arch-beams is investigated, especially for the resonant case as the passage frequency of the traveling oscillators coincides with the fundamental frequency of the arch beams.
