Annotation	Cílem článku je detailní pohled na životní dílo první československé profesorky Milady Paulové, jímž byla studie o českém a jihoslovanském odboji v době 1. světové války. Článek nastiňuje otázku angažovanosti české historiografie v meziválečném Československu. Dalším tématem je rozdílnost názorů mezi tehdejší starou a mladou akademickou generací v otázce, je-li moderní a současná historie žurnalismem, nebo vědou?
Description in English	The aim of this article is to take a closer look at the life-work of the first Czechoslovak professoress Milada Paulová, which was a study of the Czech and Yugoslav resistance in the period of the World War I. The article outlines the question of alignment in the Czech historical sciences in interwar Czechoslovakia. The next subject is the divergence of opinion between the old and the young academic generations - is modern and contemporary history journalism or science?
