Description in English A Latin-Czech lexicon called Lactifer was written in 1508. Johannes Reuchlin's dictionnary Vocabularius breviloquus, first printed in 1478, served as an immediate source of its first part. It was assumed that the source of the second part of the lexicon was mainly Thomas of Cantimpré's Liber de natura rerum. The author found out that it is not so in case of a chapter on medicine (5th Book). She found several sources, but the text on which the chapter on medicine (5th Book) is based has not been found so far.
