AnnotationInteraction of cesium dicarbollylcobaltate with calix[4]arene-bis(t-octylbenzo-18-crown-6) in nitrobenzene-d5 was studied using 1H, 13C, and 133Cs NMR, relaxations and PFG NMR. It was found that the calixarene-bis-crown binds two Cs cations with almost equal strength. Diffusion measurements and DFT calculations show that one DCC anion is bound to the complex. The dynamics of Cs binding was studied by a saturation-transfer technique.
