It is driven by a two-phase alternating air flow acting in vertical displacement tubes. In parts coming into contact with the liquid the pump has no moving or deformed components. It is thus leak-proof, extremely reliable, and needs no maintenance. The rectifier is a series-connected array of jet-pumps, each odd one connected to one phase of the driving air flow – and each even one the other phase.
