AnnotationUsing 1H and 13C NMR spectra, PFG diffusion measurements and relaxations as well as FTIR spectra and DFT quantum-mechanical calculations, it was shown that the dimethoxyethane molecule becomes wrapped at higher water contents in a cooperative hydration envelope utilizing both H-O...H and C-H...O hydrogen bonds.
