AnnotationThe paper deals with the numerical solution of 3D turbulent flow in a straight channel and branched channels with two outlets. The mathematical model of the flow is based on Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible flow closed by the explicit algebraic Reynolds stress turbulence model (EARSM). The model is solved by the finite volume method using the artificial compressibility method with the implicit discretization. The ability of the EARSM turbulence model to capture corner secondary vortices was demonstrated using the developed flow in a straight channel of square cross-section. Numerical simulation of turbulent flow through channels with a perpendicular branch was carried out for two flow rates. Methods of setting the flow rate are discussed.
