These long-term trends are mainly caused by the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere but other drives also play some role: long-term changes of radiatively active trace gases such as O3, and H2O, changes in atmospheric dynamics, secular change of solar and geomagnetic activity, and evolution of the Earth's magnetic field.
