    AnnotationAtmospheric emissions of greenhouse gases influence the atmosphere at nearly all altitudes and, thus, also space-based technologies. The upper atmosphere is generally cooling and contracting. The behaviour of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere is described by a global trend scenario. Other, less important sources of long-term trends in the upper atmosphere are described as well
