AnnotationIn identifying the traits in question we focused on an inventory from Bečov I, part A, layer III-6, near Most, Czech Republic and on finds from a number of other sites in Central Europe which are attributed to the early Middle Palaeolithic. Issues of technological activity at Bečov I were approached by investigating strategies of blank and tool production, from description of raw material and product morphology, techniques and methods of blank and tool production, in order to attempt a reconstruction of selected features of the operation scheme. A special focus was the identification of methods of raw material acquisition and spatial dimensions of the technological activity, as well as the identification of reasons for industries variability observed in this part of Europe.
