Annotation
Snaha o obnovení vědeckou práce a výchovy v oblasti lékařské etiky a biomedicínském výzkumu po roce 1945 byla přerušena po převzetí vlády komunistickou mocí. Činnost nadšenců probíhala v utajení , k aktivizaci došlo po roce 1968. Konaly se domácí semináře, vydávala se tajně rozmnožovaná literatura. Obnova nastala po roce 1989, kdy byly založeny ústavy lékařské etiky a etické komise při lékařských fakultách , postupně vznikly další instituce a byla vydávána původní překladová literatura. Dosud chybí komplexní zákon o lékařském výzkumu jako závazný podklad pro tuto činnost.

Attempts to return to traditional ethics in medical praxis and research after World War II were interrupted by the communist takeover after 1948. Inspired volunteers were working clandestinately. The Prague Spring in 1968 helped to establish new contacts in the homeland and abroad and provided some opporunities to clandestine publishing and lectures. After 1989 institutes of medical ethics and ethics commissions have been established with all medical scools and respective governmental institutions. There is a lot of activities, but a complex law concening medical research is stil lacking.
