AnnotationThe Earth gravity filed model EGM 2008 is complete till degree and order 2160 and provides resolution of geoid and derivated quantities 5x5 arcmin (about 9 km half wavelenght on the equator). With this model and using gravity anomalies and second radial derivatives of the disturbing geopotential we tested all impact meteoritic craters known on the Earth with diamater larger than about 30 km. In the case of Chicxulub (Yucatan) and Popigai (Siberia) we suggested that these craters may not be single but double. It is in a detail discussed in this paper.
