Among all cell types, mast cells are the most abundant source of proteolytic enzymes under normoxic and hypoxic conditions. Morover, in these cells hypoxia increases the production of both specific serine proteases trypase and chymase, which can act as MMPs activators Workplace Institute of Physiology Contact Lucie Trajhanová, lucie.trajhanova@fgu.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 400 Year of Publishing 2011
