Annotation	We used the observations mostly from the UVOT instrument onboard the NASA satellite Swift for analysis of the optical afterglow (OA) of GRB 060218. In our explanation, the light of the early phase of this specific OA comes from a jet producing synchrotron emission (not from shock break, supposed previously) while the thermal emission of the rapidly evolving supernova SN 2006aj dominated only in the later phase. Our approach is also of general importance for investigating supernovae in OAs.
