Such places in constructions are usually responsible for the crack initiation and consequently for the final failure of the construction. Within the paper the procedure for the determination of the threshold value of generalized stress intensity factor is presented. Knowledge of the threshold value is necessary for the reliable assessment of general singular stress concentrations.
