Restaurování obrazů ukázalo, že velké plátno Sv. Václav mezi anděly z pražského kostela Sv. Štěpána bylo původně standartou, protože je malováno po obou stranách. Oproti tomu Smrt svaté Ludmily byla pravděpodobně vytvořena až v 18. století jako jeho pandán. K málo obvyklému námětu Sv. Serváce vytvořil Škréta dvě kresby, dochované v Berlíně a v Uden. Description in English Altar paintings were the main commissions of Škréta's carrier after recatolization of Bohemia. Recent restoration brought into light, that the huge canvas St. Wenceslas between the angels from a church of St. Stephan was originally a standart, because it is painted on both sides; as an altar it served later. A canvas The Death of St. Ludmila was painted most probably in 18 century as a pair to the above mentioned composition. For an altar with St. Servatius two preparatory drawings exist (Berlin, Uden).
