We focused on the complex with carboxyatractyloside for which the high-resolution structure is known and with bongkrekic acid for which the mechanism of inhibition remains hidden. Using hydrogen/deuterium exchange coupled to mass spectrometry we showed that each inhibitor locks the carrier in a different conformation and thus offers unique view on the carrier function Workplace Institute of Microbiology Contact Eliška Spurná, eliska.spurna@biomed.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 231 Year of Publishing 2011
