AnnotationAbstract Changes in the phase composition and magnetic properties in regard to the optimized magnetic state of the rapid quenched nonstoichiometric Nd-Fe-B alloys (Nd45F77B18.5, Nd14Fe79B7) caused by thermomagnetic measurement (TM) were studied using 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopic phase analysis (MS) and SQUID magnetic measurements. The obtained experimental results for both alloys show decrease of the amount of main hard magnetic Nd2Fe14B phase and increase of the amount of soft magnetic phases. The main thermal decomposition products are alpha-Fe phase and a number of different Fe-B phases which are responsible for the observed quality loss of hard magnetic properties.
