    Description in EnglishThis work is focused on a numerical modelling of crack propagation in a polyolefin pipe. The three-dimensional model of the cracked pipe is modelled where the geometry of the semi-elliptical crack is variable. The main aim is to find the geometry of the crack in which the stress intensity factor is more or less constant. The crack front is formed by twenty points in order to estimate the stress intensity factor in each point. A few points close to the surface are ignored because of the change of the singularity. The results presented are compared with general relations founded in the literature. The stress intensity factor estimated shows the smooth change between those estimated for constant crack geometry.
