Annotation	Text se zabývá vztahem mezi politickým katolicismem a institucemi nového československého státu. Vztahy mezi katolicismem a Československou republikou procházely příznačnými změnami, od nerozhodnosti k nadšené jednotě. Příčinou bylo, že církev dříve podporovala habsburskou monarchii, a nebyla si jista přijetím ze strany nového režimu. Když po odeznění revolučního zápalu katolíci seznali, že politický systém nového státu je vůči církvi tolerantní, přistoupili k podpoře prvorepublikové demokracie.
Description in English	This paper deals with the relationship between political Catholicism and the establishment of the new state. Relations between Catholicism and the Czechoslovak Republic went througt a significant change, from hesitant acceptance to enthusiastic agreement. This was due to the fact that the church as a former supporter of the Habsburg Monarchy did not know how it would be received by the new regime. When the revolutionary zeal had died down and the Catholics found that the political system of the new state was tolerant towards the church then Catholicism came to support the First Republic democracy.
