AnnotationThree sets of WC-12%Co coatings with different residual stress state were prepared by HVOF technique. The spraying conditions were chosen to produce coatings possessing very similar microstructure and phase composition but different residual stress state. The aim of the study was to describe residual stress state influence on the coatings response to the different type of mechanical loading.
