AnnotationWe utilised the analyzing of bunches of oriented 6 m carbon fibres to illustrate influence of such special case of sample surface roughness to the RBS and ERDA spectra shape. The measurements were provided for different fibres orientation to plane incident – exit beam. For RBS with scattering angle 170 deg a rough simulation for IBM and Cornell geometry was done replacing circular cross-section of fibres by twenty fold equiangular polygon. Due to big scattering angle the expected differences are small. For ERDA experiment with scattering angle 30 deg we can expect different “moving” of surface signal to smaller energies depending on fibres orientation.
