AnnotationHypoxia is a major factor of increased invasivity of cancer, resulting in a poor prognosis. In tumor sections, it is manifested by necrotic foci and expression of CAIX protein. We investigated 248 patients with pancreatic ductal carcinoma and correlated necrosis and CAIX with the lenght of survival. SAIX is a biomarker which can easily be evaluated by independent scientists.
