The inspiration was drawn from French curve templates which use a flexible plastic to approximate various curves. In the present case the template follows the solar cell equation and provides handles ‘attached’ to the curve for intuitive manipulation of the parameters. The template may be used to get a quick estimate of the parameters for the given experimental points or to judge sensitivity of the fit to the individual parameters.
