AnnotationMonolithic capillary columns are very useful for both CEC and CLC separations of small organic molecules, as demonstrated in numerous papers. This chapter concentrates on the problems of small analyte molecules and discusses their CLC and CEC separations from various angles, namely: - the principal types of monolithic capillary columns based on organic polymers and the characteristics of these columns; - the most important experimental approaches to the preparation of these columns; - the methods for the study of the column morphology;- some questions of detection techniques coupled to monolithic capillary columns;- selected examples of the performance of these systems.
