The book overviews present knowledge on morphology of exocrine glands of termites and the chemical signals that are produced in these glands. The focus is on trail and sex pheromones. Methods of sample preparation, analysis, compound identification, and bioassays are summarized. List of chemical compounds produced by termites is correlated with the recent termite phylogenetical tree.
