Výstupem výzkumu jsou informace o vývoji materiální kultury a ekofaktů v různých sociálních prostředích včetně okrajových skupin, od narození až do smrti a pohřbu. Zvláštní pozornost se věnuje vzdělávání, duchovní sféře, zábavě, stravě, hygieně, zdravotnictví atd. Středověká města poskytují mnohotvarý pohled na tyto výstupy a jejich různé aspekty. Část článku se soustřeďuje na středověké Brno včetně dokladů hmotné kultury, urbanismu, přístupu k řešení odpadů, zásobování vodou, stavu hygieny a výsledků antropologického výzkumu obyvatel tohoto města včetně jejich fyzické kondice, chorob, zranění apod. Description in English The study of everyday and festive life constitute a vast area of interdisciplinary research. It involves many historical and social sciences, as well as natural sciences. The principal outcome of the research is information about material culture, its chronology and ecofacts in different social environments including fringe social groups in the broad context of the mediaeval society, of the life of people from birth to death and funeral. Special attention is devoted to education, the spiritual sphere, pastimes and entertaiments including fringe groups, food, hygiene, medicine, healing etc. Medieval towns provide multiple examples of individual views on these issues and their aspects. The article centres on mediaeval Brno, including the assortment of material culture objects, urbanism and approach to waste, water supply, the state of hygiene and results of anthropological research of the inhabitants of the medieval town, their physical condition, diseases, injuries and the like.
