Experiment probíhal v letech 1997–2008 na lokalitě Sněžné Domky (960–990 m n. m.) na třech vlhkostně a troficky odlišných stanovištích (blocích). Sledovali jsme vliv mulčování a kosení spolu s hnojením či nehnojením ve třech typech společenstev lišících se trofií a vlhkostí. Vývoj vegetace byl odlišný na stanovištích lišících se vlhkostí a množstvím živin, což znesnadňuje předpověď vývoje vegetace za odlišných podmínek. Dlouhodobé mulčování není vhodným managementem pro udržení druhově bohatých horských luk. Description in English Long-term influence (12 years) of mulching on the plant species composition on grasslands in the Krkonoše National Park was studied. The experiment was carried out in three communities differing in habitat conditions (soil moisture, nutrients) at the altitude 960–990 m. Mulching was compared with cutting and fertilization regime. Response of the community differed with respect to habitat conditions. Long-term mulching is not a management suitable for conservation of species-rich mountain meadows.
