    AnnotationPrediction of pipe-flow characteristics of settling slurries are discussed for a velocity range around the deposition-limit velocity. A recently proposed model for settling slurry flows above deposits in slurry pipes is extended to flows with sliding beds. The model is validated using experimental data for slurries of four different sand fractions in two laboratory test loops.
