Důležitou součástí monografie je pak též podrobně rozebíraný kontext literárních časopisů, které měly na básníka podstatný vliv. Jakkoliv je monografie především literárně historickou a interpretační prací, v řadě pozorování a nenásilných syntézách vyjevuje i cosi podstatného o poezii vůbec. Description in English In this monograph Hruška follows the development of one of the most important contemporary poets, Karel Šiktanc, from his awkward beginnings to his best works and to his latest collection. An important part of the monograph thus dwells in detail on the context of the literary magazines which had a marked influence on the poet in different periods. While monograph is above all a work of literary history and interpretation, in its observations and unforced syntheses it expresses something quite essential about poetry in general.
