Annotation	Numerical simulation of the flow in the vortex separator with free surface was performed by the program ANSYS FLUENT for three flow rates. The aim of the calculation was to estimate particle separation efficiency for different particle size and density. The results can be used for scale-up modeling of this type of separators.
