Description in English In this chapter the author sketches the purpose, preparations and progress of the work on pivotal historiographical publications of the ÚČL. She focuses on the four-volume series History of Czech Literature I-IV which was prepared in the 1950s and 1960s. The release of the last volume was prohibited; it was not published until after 1989.
