AnnotationThis chapter provides a basic osteological description of the human skeletal remains that have been excavated during the 1995 and 2002 campaigns by the Czech Institute of Egyptology and analyzes the osteological measurements of the Old Kingdom skeletons excavated up to date in the Abusir South necropolis. Particular attention has been made to obtain an insight into the sexual dimorphism of the Old Kingdom population of Lower Egypt. Comparisons were carried out for contemporary European population of the Corded Ware Culture.
