AnnotationThe effect of modulation of plasma torch input power on temperature distributions in the thermal plasma jet was investigated using a tomographic measuring set-up. The results show that modulation of the plasma torch input power affects significantly temporal stability and symmetry of temperature distributions. The distributions in phases of high arc current are stable and close to the symmetrical one, while in the phases of low arc current the results reveal high instability and asymmetry of the distributions.
