Description in English The study deals with the prominent Czech biologist Ivan Málek's attitude to the questions of formation of the "New man" in the 1950s and partially 1960s. Málek belonged to the group of prominent propagators of Soviet theories and convinced followers of the Communist Party. He struggled for the new socialistic man with better physiologic characteristics. In Málek's view, Soviet experiences in farm animals breeding helped to achieve that intention.
