AnnotationColloids of reverse micelles with Pd or Ag nanoparticles in isooctane were prepared. Layers of the reverse micelles were deposited by electrophoresis on InP and glass substrates, placed either on the positive or on the negative electrode. The layers were studied with the goal to determine the charge polarity of reverse micelles in the colloid in the context with making sensors to hydrogen on Schottky barriers on n-type InP. It was found that the charge of Ag nanoparticles in the colloid was positive and the charge of Pd nanoparticles was negative. Only Schottky barriers with Pd particles were found sensitive to hydrogen.
