Extracellular ATP induces ivermectin-sensitive depolarizing current in a majority of thyrotropin-releasing hormone-responsive pituitary cells, and enhances prolactin release. These results indicate that lactotrophs express homomeric and/or heteromeric P2X4 receptors which facilitate hormone secretion Workplace Institute of Physiology Contact Lucie Trajhanová, lucie.trajhanova@fgu.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 400 Year of Publishing 2011
