The genomic amplicons of the Meishan and Pietrain breeds were comparatively sequenced and sequences including were deposited in the EMBL/GenBank database. The structure of 3´UTR and 3´ downstream of the MEF2B gene was analysed by primer-walking using BAC clone 687D12 from the porcine bacterial artificial chromosome library.
