AnnotationThis paper describes detection of mitochondrial 17-HSD10 enzyme using a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor and ELISA method. 17-HSD10 enzyme is involved in pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease (AD) and represents a potential target for AD diagnostics. It was demonstrated that the reported SPR biosensor is capable of detecting 17β-HSD10/Aβs complex in CSF samples and it was revealed the patients with AD exhibited elavated levels of 17β-HSD10/Aβs complex compared to the controls.
