AnnotationIonic liquids, 1-butyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium TFSI and 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium TFSI with LiTFSI or LiPF6 were successfully tested as electrolytes for new cathode materials based Li2FeSiO4 and operating at elevated temperatures of 60 degrees C. Their properties allow their application in large-scale lithium ion batteries with improved safety for electric vehicles.
